Use of Information
The Information we collect is only used for the creation of your account. As you create your account we request a phone number, location services, and a name to establish the account. Users are also prompted with the option to add a school to their profile. There are also additional features within the app which allows users to link 3rd party platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. After your account is created, Turtle requests that you may add pictures in order to enhance your profile. The pictures, name, and phone number will not be shared with any external network or company. Information will only be shared when we think it’s needed to detect, prevent or address illegal activity on our platform, or identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who appears to be causing injury to or interfering with our rights or property or other users, or when we believe that disclosure is required or permitted by law, including when responding to subpoenas, warrants, production orders, or similar instruments.
