What's turtle

Turtle is an anonymous messaging application. Our services involved in this Privacy Policy are limited to the sole entity of the application: Turtle. We provide a platform to communicate anonymously for a three-day period, before your identity is revealed, leading to a fun and unique conversation.


Use of Information

When you use the Turtle app, you’ll share some information in order to help create your account. We want to be completely transparent about the information that is collected, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we give you control to manage, and update your information. The Information we collect is only used for the creation of your account. As you create your account we request a phone number, location services, and a name to establish the account. Users are also prompted with the option to add a school to their profile. There are also additional features within the app which allows users to link 3rd party platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. After your account is created, Turtle requests that you may add pictures in order to enhance your profile. The pictures, name, and phone number will not be shared with any external network or company. Information will only be shared when we think it’s needed to detect, prevent or address illegal activity on our platform, or identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who appears to be causing injury to or interfering with our rights or property or other users, or when we believe that disclosure is required or permitted by law, including when responding to subpoenas, warrants, production orders, or similar instruments.

We may share or your information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, dissolution transaction, bankruptcy or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture of all or a portion of our business or assets. If another company acquires our business or assets, that company will have your information collected by us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your information as allowed by this privacy policy.


Use of Turtle App

Users of the Turtle app should proceed with caution when using this “anonymous” messaging app. Users should exercise restraint and never reveal personal information, banking information, addresses or any type of confidential material via the Turtle App. Turtle is committed to creating a safe place for communications between its users.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. But when we do, we’ll let you know one way or another. The Privacy Policy will be revised as features are added to the Turtle App. Sometimes, we’ll let you know by revising the date at the top of the Privacy Policy that’s available on our website and mobile application, Other times, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our websites’ homepages or providing you with an in-app notification).
